The helmet of your favorite suit might translate pretty well, though I do not know that the full suit would. Both the BoS and NCR have a few symbols or phrases, if words and not just images are on the table. Only trouble with NCR is that it might look more like you are a fan of bears or regular plain ol' California. I went with a simple solid black Brotherhood of Steel logo on my left shoulder...
